Minigame
Photography
A roll of film, eight minutes, one perfect frame.
The photography sequences are about negative space, not action. Mixtape uses photography chapters as transitional scenes — moments where Stacy is processing what just happened with friends. The mechanic is point-and-click within an animated frame, and the achievements are about composition rather than reflexes.
Core Techniques
- Don't rush. The photography chapters have soft time limits (you don't actually fail), so wait for the framing the chapter is hinting at.
- Watch for color cues: the chapter highlights the subject in slightly warmer tones than the background. Center your viewfinder on the warm-toned object.
- The After-Hours Photo Run (Ch 6) and the photography section of Polaroid Wall (Ch 7) are mechanically similar but emotionally different — the first is about recklessness, the second about preserving.
- There is no skill check for these — anyone gets through them. The reward is what you see, not what you achieve.
