Chapter 7

Polaroid Wall

Hang the prints. Frame the night.

Summary

The quiet companion to Chapter 6, and one of the last calm moments before the night accelerates. Stacy returns home briefly to pin the photos she just shot onto a Polaroid wall, with Harper's Bizarre's 'Witchi Tai To' providing a gentle 1960s sunshine-pop counterpoint to the synthwave of the photo run. There is no fail state: you pin each Polaroid from Chapter 6 in any order, and every photo you place unlocks a brief flashback or line of dialogue, with Stacy reflecting on the night so far in voiceover. The arrangement carries thematic meaning, but mechanically there is no 'wrong' order — nothing to get right, nothing to miss. The chapter's whole idea is preservation as a verb: Stacy is actively building the record of the night while it is still happening, which is the emotional thesis the rest of the game pays off. It is worth lingering here rather than rushing the wall; the pace deliberately will not be this gentle again. The chapter ends once the wall is complete.
