What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages get read, which guides get used, where readers come from. GA4 collects pageviews, session duration, and approximate location (city-level) via your IP address. IP addresses are anonymized at collection time (Google's default since 2024) and we do not enable any ads-related GA4 features.

You can opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser.

Cookies

GA4 sets one first-party cookie (_ga) for distinguishing unique visitors, with a 2-year expiration. Embedded YouTube and Spotify iframes may set their own cookies on user interaction; we use the youtube-nocookie embed where available.

Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie and similar identifiers to enable interest-based advertising.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor ad personalization at aboutads.info. EU users have additional GDPR rights — Google AdSense provides a consent management module that surfaces a banner when applicable.
