Mixtape Guide

Chapter 30

Finale

Last song. End credits.

Summary

The visual finale, and the chapter the entire night has been building toward. A rooftop fireworks climax plays out as a cinematic, and Joy Division's 'Atmosphere' returns at low volume to bookend the night — the same restraint that opened the game closing it. A last cassette-eject visual lands before the credits, and the credits themselves are staged as part of the ending: Wooden Sword's 'Moon Unit' (named for Frank Zappa's daughter, Moon Unit Zappa) plays in full while they roll, so you watch the mixtape play all the way to its end while you read them. The Last Song achievement auto-pops as the credits begin. The single most important thing here is not to skip the credits — they are the final six to eight minutes of deliberate design, not an afterthought. Once they finish, the game returns to a 'mixtape menu' view that lets you replay any chapter or jump straight to any song, which is the natural launch point for cleanup runs and OST listening.
