Chapter 26

Living Room Reunion

Three friends, three couches.

Summary

A late-game friend-group reunion, and the chapter where the True Ending criteria finally coalesces. David Gray's 'Shine' — a 1993 folk-rock cut — sets a reflective tone as Stacy, Slater and Cassandra each settle onto one of three couches, the camera holding the trio while they talk through how the night has changed each of them. The conversation is long and, as in Chapter 20, the dialogue is the mechanic: Stacy's responses here lock in your True Ending eligibility. The guidance is the same balancing act — to keep the True Ending open, spread your agreement across all three friends, agreeing with each at different points rather than aligning with any single one. It is also worth staying through every dialogue option even after you have decided how you feel, because some of them carry late-game callbacks that pay off in the closing chapters. The reunion ends by setting up the phone call of Chapter 29.
