What Happens

Stacy stays. She doesn't ride out with Slater. She doesn't run with Cassandra. She lets the night close over her bedroom door and lets the mixtape finish on its own terms — alone with the music. The ending frames this as neither defeat nor triumph, but as the choice of someone who finally hears her own tempo above the friends she loves. The last shot is the cassette ejecting at 4am, and the room exactly as we found it in Chapter 1, except Stacy is in it now, awake.

Character Arc

Stacy's arc here is the most interior of the four. She begins the night borrowing other people's energy — Slater's recklessness, Cassandra's certainty — and ends it acknowledging that what she actually wanted was permission to stay still. The bedroom isn't a prison; it's the room she finally chooses on purpose.
