What Happens

Stacy stays out with Slater past the night's natural end. The 'eight-minute odyssey' from Slater's bedroom expands into a longer drive at dawn — sub-bass car speakers, both windows down, the cassette flipped to Side B. The ending is the most kinetic of the four, ending mid-motion rather than at a destination. Last shot is Slater laughing at something off-screen and Stacy catching her breath but smiling.

Character Arc

Slater is recklessness with conscience — the one friend who wants Stacy to live louder, not safer. His arc resolves when Stacy lets herself be reckless in his company without losing herself. This is NOT an ending where she becomes him; it's where she trusts the version of herself that he sees.
